Anyway, I just discovered this really cool blog link-up thing called Saturday Snap Shot, hosted by At Home With Books. I love this, because I love photos and I have quite a few cool ones I'd like to share.
So...here's one for today.
This is probably one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken. I took it at Westminster Abbey in London. Don't think I'm trying to convert you with this or anything. Even if you're a non-religious person, I think it's a nice thought and an interesting shot. And, photography-wise, I like how the gate in the foreground breaks it up. I spent a good amount of time trying to get this shot.
Here it is again. This one isn't as good, I think, because you can see some random stuff in the corner:
And here is the full text, without interruption
And here is one with the gate more in focus.
And that's all! Thanks!
That's a very cool shot. I like how the iron gate frames the engraved stonework behind it.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThe top one is my favorite! Great shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks. That's my favorite too, I think.
DeleteLooks like you had fun figuring out how to take the best photo. My favorite is the last one :-)
ReplyDeleteYes I did! Thank you.
DeleteI love the contrast in those photos and the different focus - they all look great!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThat touch of blue looks amazing! Number one is my favorite too! I'm going to come back and check out your Best Ten YA books EVER!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Hope you like the Ten Best list...
DeleteLovely pic The way the gate covers some of the print makes it read "may god rant to the living race" - it made me smile anyway :-)
ReplyDeleteGood observation! Thanks!
DeleteI like them all, but especially the 1st one. NICE
ReplyDeleteSweet shots, great location! First one is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThe gate makes a wonderful frame. Top's my favorite, too!
ReplyDeleteThese are great pics, I especially love the perspective of the first one, best.
